Speaking & Educational Engagements

The Practitioners’ Lounge

At The Practitioners’ Lounge, we believe thriving veterinary practices are built at the intersection of strong leadership, psychological wellbeing, and sustainable business practices.

Our speaking engagements are designed specifically for the realities of modern veterinary medicine — supporting professionals who are navigating increasing clinical demands, emotional labour, staffing challenges, and evolving expectations within the profession.

We offer keynotes, workshops, conference lectures, panel discussions, and customized training programs for veterinary organizations, hospitals, and industry events across North America.

Our sessions blend clinical experience, evidence-based insight, and practical tools, ensuring that participants leave with ideas they can immediately apply in their practices and teams.

Why Conference Organizers Choose The Practitioners’ Lounge

Conversations about leadership, wellbeing, and culture are becoming increasingly common in veterinary conferences. However, many of these discussions are delivered from personal experience alone.

At The Practitioners’ Lounge, our work is grounded in both real veterinary practice experience and advanced professional education.

Charlotte Fahy and Dr. Ellen Nicklassen bring a rare combination of:

  • Years of hands-on experience inside veterinary practice
  • Advanced academic training in psychology, leadership, and organizational development
  • Evidence-based frameworks that translate into practical strategies for veterinary teams

This combination allows our sessions to move beyond inspiration and into practical, evidence-informed learning that veterinary professionals can apply immediately in their workplaces.
